Fall/Winter
Bobs are everywhere. The Brit, Victoria Beckham, has brought it to LA and people are following suit all the way to NYC. Her take on the classic bob is extreme and very flattering on a fashion forward 20 or 30 something. If you are looking for a more chic, refined version, try stepping up a classic bob with a sexy mod fringe. The mod styles of the 60's heavily influenced the fall runways. The beachy girl tendrils of the last couple years are truly gone. Hair is shorter, more purposeful and structured.
The color palette this season is full of bright hues placed against pale colors. The fall runways paraded purple in shades of burgundy, magenta, indigo and aborigine. The contrast in bright hues and pale colors can be seen in makeup, as well. Many models walked the runway with striking brows and rich cheeks against a neutral lip and eye color.
Monochromatic hair color is very sought after this season. Who doesn't love a classic chocolate brown? If you like to mix it up a little more, highlights are more natural and tone on tone. Purple being such an inspiration on the runway finds itself in the hair in a more wearable, flattering burgundy.
Why do Aveda products smell so good?
Aveda products contain natural aromas instead of synthetics. We use plant and flower derived ingredients that are renewable, sustainable and many times organic to provide unique aromas. Aveda is an environmentally conscious company and obtains these ingredients in the safest manner possible, protecting the environment and the communities in which they come from.
My hair is dry and wiry in the winter, what should I use?
You should change your shampoo and conditioner for the season just as you change your clothing. Smooth Infusion Shampoo and Smooth Infusion Conditioner create a smooth new surface on the hair, significantly reducing frizz and preventing flyaways. A plant infusion of organic aloe, maize and gaur bean helps prevent unwanted wave and frizz. It also protects the hair from surface damage caused by heat styling from blow dryers and flat irons
